Following extensive consultation with stakeholders and the community, the Macquarie Point Development Corporation launched ‘A Shared Vision for the Redevelopment of Macquarie Point’. The Shared Vision articulates the aspirations for the site and gives a sense of what might be expected in the future. This document has provided a launch pad from which the Strategic Framework and the Masterplan have been developed.

The Masterplan represents the first pass at translating the Key Drivers into a built form proposal.  It commits the big moves to paper and allows a glimpse of the possible future form, look and feel of the development.

The Goods Shed Plaza will become the gravitational heart of Macquarie Point.  The community will be drawn from Evans Street into the Goods Shed.  People will pass through this structure into the open space beyond.  The plaza is nestled at the centre of the site, protected from the wind but open to the north sun.

More broadly, the site will be characterised by a series public open spaces that will be arrayed across the site.
